Swordstep is a pixel art puzzle-platformer where you must climb a towering giant armed with an enchanted sword to rekindle a dying sun. You will have to learn unique throwing mechanics to traverse complicated locations, from rooftops by candlelight to a treacherous freezing lake.
Ascending to the top requires a mixture of logic games and platformer reflexes. You're not just leaping across gaps; you're utilizing your blade as a stepping stone, a teleportation point, and quite literally creating your own path. To dare these devious heights, you must own the magical powers of your blade. Swordstep's throws are so success-dependent that you'll need to calculate your throws before you jump, since one false move will leave you where you stand.
Swordstep pits you against 50 levels across five diverse locales in your quest to reach the summit. The main mechanic is leaping over impossible gaps with sword magic. Stick yourself to walls with the blade to stand on them, or just blink right to them. Hunt 150 hidden stars across the map to show off your platforming skills.

View your weapon as one with your movement in Swordstep. In the Cave of Crystal, take advantage of your Phase Shift dash and mid-flight sword toss to span large gaps. And always remember to swiftly recall your sword after utilizing it as a stepping stone. A good method for vertical height is to just toss the blade high into a wall and blink to it at the very top of your arc.
It's satisfying to break out of the levels and snag those hidden stars. Swordstep does have a level-up aspect in which you unlock 18 different characters and nine different swords. These stars provide you with a good reason to return to previous levels and uncover secret routes.
Swordstep is a great mechanical/platforming puzzle game with solid spatial thinking mechanics and lots of replay potential! Throw your blade – climb to new heights today!
