Cannon Balls 3D is a physics-based puzzle shooter where you'll topple sophisticated block buildings and other shapes with heavy weaponry. Developed by Famobi, this title requires precision and strategic thinking as you try to clear each stage with a strictly limited amount of ammunition.
Cannon Balls 3D strikes a nice balance between tense strategic aiming and the rewarding payout of total structural collapse. You spot the brightly coloured 3D towers on their platforms, find the weak place in the structure, and shoot your weapon. The hands-on experience is incredibly fulfilling; there is an immediate sense of satisfaction in seeing a huge stack of various forms collapse from one perfectly timed impact or an enormous TNT burst. The ammo crate to your left is always being watched, and it makes you think twice about each shot you take, instead of just blasting bullets all over the screen.
Your goal in Cannon Balls 3D is to destroy all the blocks and forms on the platforms before you run out of cannonballs. A fresh architectural challenge in the shape of numerous bricks awkwardly arranged at every stage. As you smash forms and rack up points, you’ll see a special bomb meter steadily filling up in the bottom right corner of the screen. This completely charged meter allows you to swap your standard ammo for three very strong bombs that work just like the in-game TNT, allowing you to blow up big chunks of the tower at the same time. But if you run out of ammo without clearing the stage, the level resets immediately.
You need to know the structure to be successful in maximising your limited shots. Instead of just randomly shooting at the top, scan the level for in-game TNT barrels and shoot them first, causing tremendous chain reactions. Go for the weak spots of the constructions, like the wooden stands at the bottom or the lower load-bearing blocks, to topple the most forms with one shot. When you've unlocked the three special explosives, keep them for the thickest, strongly reinforced areas of the tower for maximum devastation.
